What holidays do employees get paid for?

New Year’s, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day (The only day courses close is Christmas Day. Full-time employees receive holiday pay along with their hourly rate for any hours worked on a holiday.)

When does the pay period begin?

The pay period runs from Wednesday to the 2nd Tuesday. All employees are paid every other Friday.

Is there a scheduled lunch break?

This depends on your home course and position. All maintenance employees are allotted a 30-minute lunch break that is automatically deducted from their time. Your supervisor will go over your lunch breaks with you.

How does the pay structure work?

All positions have a pay range. Employees are paid within that pay range based on qualifications, experience and quality of work.

What does FGI expect from me?

FGI expects you to perform your job duties to the best of your ability, show up for work on time, be reliable, and be a team player. Your supervisor will go over your expectations with you.

Is previous experience needed for all positions?

Many positions provide on-the-job training. Some positions do require specialized training. FGI offers several training programs to help employees grow within the company.

Do we work if it is raining?

If the rain is impacting your ability to work your shift, your manager will let you know. Plan on working unless your manager tells you otherwise.

How do I request a punch in Paycom?

Log in to Paycom App-Select Time Management-Click on Punch Change Request-Click in day and the time you would like to edit-Submit Request

How many hours is considered full-time?

30 + hours per week.

What do I need to do if I am unable to come in for my scheduled shift?

You need to contact your manager as soon as you know you are unable to make your shift.

Vacation, PTO and Safety PTO can all be requested in the Paycom App by selecting “Time Off Requests”, select the type of time off and the date, then submit request.

Is there room for advancement and growth within the company?

Yes, there are many opportunities for advancement at FGI. We pride ourselves on promoting from within when at all possible. We also offer several apprenticeship programs and in-house training programs to help employees grow.

When am I able to receive a raise?

FGI utilizes a pay range system for all positions. Managers determine the rate of pay based on this pay range, the employee’s qualifications, education, experience and quality of work. All employees will receive an Annual Review and may receive a raise at that time.

When can I book a Tee Time?

Full-time employees can schedule after 10:00 am the day before play. Part-time employees can schedule after 3:00 pm the day before play.

Who is considered immediate family for free golf?

Spouse, children and parents.

When do I sign up for benefits?

Full-time employees are eligible for benefits the first of the month after 60 days of employment. New hires must enroll within the first 45 days of employment. Open Enrollment is typically in November and December each year.

What is the dress code?

The dress code varies by department:

Food and Beverage: Collared logo shirt with name tag, shorts/pants/skort and slip resistant shoes. Unless otherwise specified by course management.

Golf Shop: Collared logo shirt with name tag, slacks and close toed shoes. Unless otherwise specified by course management.

Outside Operations: Collared logo shirt with name tag, golf hat with logo, golf shorts or slacks. Unless otherwise specified by course management.

Maintenance: Full-time employees will be issued a uniform. Part-time employees should wear a collared shirt, shorts/pants and boots/shoes with good tread. Unless otherwise specified by course management.
