Employee Play Programs

Founders Group Golf Privileges
Effective July 1, 2026

Playing at our facilities is a privilege of employment, and we ask our employees to follow the procedures below when booking tee times. Golf courses will accommodate whenever possible, but please keep in mind that we must maintain adequate availability for paying customers. Golf privileges can be revoked at any time for disciplinary action or employee misconduct.

Seasonal Play Restrictions

To ensure appropriate course availability during peak seasonal periods, the following restrictions apply:

  • During March, April, May, and October, employees may utilize their playing privileges only at their home facility.
  • Employees who wish to play at other Founders Group properties during these months may do so at the published Primetime Cardholder rate for that course.
  • Tee times at other Founders Group properties during these months may be made only 24 hours in advance.
  • To book these tee times, employees must follow standard booking procedures by:
    • Contacting their home golf shop directly.
    • Following established open tee time guidelines when booking at their home course.

Booking and Playing

Employees who wish to play golf must schedule tee times through the golf shop at their home course. Corporate staff, Myrtlewood employees, and Myrtle Beach National employees should contact Tee Time Central to make reservations.

Booking Times

  • Full-time employees: 10:00 a.m. for next-day tee times
  • Part-time employees: 3:00 p.m. for next-day tee times
  • Employees must identify themselves immediately when calling.

Golf shop staff will book tee times whenever possible. Standby options are available when courses are busy. For same-day play or standby requests, employees must contact the course directly.

All golf courses have been provided with booking guidelines to ensure consistency. Any exceptions must be approved by the Regional Operations Manager.

Employees must provide a contact number when booking. If changes occur, employees will be notified as soon as possible.

Course Booking Policy

Tee times may be booked for employees until there are:

  • Six open tee times per double-tee course.
  • Two open tee times per hour at a single-tee course.

Standby options are available at all courses. To request a standby tee time or be added to a standby list, employees may call or arrive at the course where they wish to play.

Standby tee times are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may be withheld at the course’s discretion. For example, a single employee does not have to be paired with a larger group.

During peak season months, standby privileges may only be used at an employee’s home course.

Employee Tee Time Guidelines for Booking

Founders Group has one of the best employee play policies in the country. These guidelines are to be followed by all courses to ensure that all properties are handling employee play consistently from facility to facility.

There are three levels of demand for booking employee golf tee times that courses will follow. The course demand for each property will be determined by the Director of Operations. A course demand for each property can change and there is no limit to how many courses fall into each Demand, i.e., during the last week of April, all of our courses could fall into high demand, but during the first week of January, most courses might fall into medium or low demand. Golf course demand will be updated and available via a google doc for everyone to view.

High Demand Tee Time Guidelines

Tee times may be given to staff as long as there are six open tee times per double tee. There must be a minimum of four open tee times for the last hour of a morning double tee. All tee times must be booked with employee’s first name, last name, phone number, employee’s home course, and initials of the team member who booked the time. Tee times for day of play may be given to employees who are on “stand by” at the facility if any times are unused. Single tee golf courses must have a minimum of one tee time per hour and six open tee times from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Medium Demand Tee Time Guidelines

Tee times may be given to staff as long as there are four open tee times per double tee. There must be a minimum of three open tee times for the last hour of a morning double tee. All tee times must be booked with employee’s first name, last name, phone number, employee’s home course, and initials of the team member who booked the tee time. Tee times for day of play may be given to employees who are on “stand by” at the facility if any times are unused. Single tee golf courses must have a minimum of one tee time per hour to book for regular play.

Low Demand Tee Time Guidelines

Tee times may be given to staff as long as there are two open tee times per double tee.
