In the latest South Carolina rankings, Myrtle Beach once again affirmed its status as a premier public golf destination — with multiple Founders Group International properties earning recognition from golfers across the country.

Grande Dunes Resort Course led the FGI group with a top-five finish, continuing its reputation as one of the state’s most compelling public layouts. Featuring five holes along the Intracoastal Waterway, the course combines wide fairways, creative green complexes, and striking scenery to deliver a memorable experience for golfers of all skill levels.

Also earning honors was Pawleys Plantation Golf Club, a Jack Nicklaus design widely regarded as one of the Lowcountry’s signature courses. Known for its dramatic marshland setting, Pawleys Plantation’s back nine — with six holes playing along a tidal saltwater marsh — consistently ranks among the most scenic and challenging stretches of golf in South Carolina.

Willbrook Plantation Golf Club joined the list as another standout, reinforcing its reputation as a classic Lowcountry gem. Designed by Dan Maples, the course is set on a historic property highlighted by centuries-old live oaks and Spanish moss, offering golfers a timeless Carolina golf experience.

Rounding out the FGI honorees was River Club, a Pawleys Island favorite praised for its strategic design and welcoming atmosphere. The course is best known for its risk-reward par-5 18th hole, a finishing challenge that regularly sparks post-round conversation among golfers.
